At what stage of not feeding? What length of time. So far I've been without since January...and I'm dying.

You start to feel really tired, lights start to give you headaches, you feel hungry and thirsty, no matter how much your eat or drink. Eventually you start to feel weak and sick. This is when you want to stay away from people. You start to feel frustrated easily, and vamping out could be a real possibility. Sometimes eating rare steak can help keep these effects at bay. However, it's a short term solution. One could be OK, eating rare steak like twice a week, or so,keeping away from bright lights, and trying to be in a calm environment. But it's a lot better when you're able to feed.

I have gone without feeding longest 2 months and it was hell. I already have trouble dealing with sunny days but when I haven't fed they're unbearable. I'm having trouble finding a regular donor. What I am I keep secret. Does anyone have suggestions of how I can find a regular donor in Ontario Canada?

for me its anemia inherited problem from my mother, if i don't get blood (usually in the form of rare meat) at least once in a week i start to get very ill very fast, but not so ill that i need medical intervention, and vitamin supplements do nothing. But I understand it effect folks in different ways aside from light becoming pure torment, there's the feeling tired even before he likes of anemia start to "bite". you feel emotional like you have no control of your feelings so become irritable and quick to anger, you can feel weak and sluggish.

There will be similarities for most Sangs when going without blood for long periods of time...however there might be some differences too.
Personally I spent a very long period of my life without feeding, especially as I didn't fully understand wtf was happening. I was ALWAYS lethargic, no matter how much I rested or slept, trying to do physical activities was pretty much a no go and trying to hold down a school/college/work schedule was also impossible. Food intake doesn't make much of a difference. It even effected my mental health. I thought I had depression but looking back it was just from not having what my body needed. I've always personally been effected by bright light, not to the point I can't stand it at all, but it isn't pleasant. Whether I feed or not I'm still not keen on bright sunlight.
Anyway, point is...I didn't die from not feeding lol. I didn't feel like going on a rampage. I didn't start obsessing over blood and being in pure desperation. You just put up with it. You feel shit but you can survive. It's pretty much just like having a deficiency.

There's a medical explanation for this (go google it) and if you're anemic just go see a doctor, a nutritionist or eat a whole cow. I can't believe "real vampires" use social media to ask for donors and talk about vampirism. You feel sick drinking blood and if you stop drinking blood too because you're not supposed to do that. Besides the fact that I can't even imagine Dracula posting about his life, you don't ask about the basics of being a vampire. If you are one, you just know. It's like googling "how to be human". I know vampires need to act normal and times have changed, I love that excuse, but come on! A real vampire would hide and they certainly wouldn't love humans so much. If you need to attack, you do it (unless you're Louis de Pointe du Lac, which I doubt). Too much Twilight around. I'm sorry but I've read so much crap about "real vampires", I can't believe it! If Bram Stoker hadn't write Dracula, would you claim to be a vampire? I mean, would you exist? Come on. If you actually have problems like being anemic (which is a stupid reason to go drink blood) go see a doctor like everybody else. I'm sure there's a human and logic explanation for everything. Like me: I can't stand sunlight because I'm too white and I can suck people's energy like everybody else could if they only knew it. Yeah, it is called "vampirism". No, it doesn't make you a real vampire. Btw, if you're so unhappy and complain so much about being a vampire, stop "being" one. Choose something else to be, play Second Life or write a story. You sure have imagination. The power of the mind is incredible: if you believe you're a vampire (or so you say), you're gonna start craving blood. And yes, that's a psychiatric illness. Sorry.

You sure have imagination. The power of the mind is incredible: if you believe you're a vampire (or so you say), you're gonna start craving blood. And yes, that's a psychiatric illness. Sorry. i wish it was curable but i started having cravings for blood and initially i didn't believe it either. i take no offense as this was my stance on vampirism before i started getting the cravings for blood. ive seen a doctor many times for anemia and been on medication for 9 months my iron levels havent changed and ive had multiple blood tests. i dont believe in psi vamps but i dont discriminate either so i leave that side alone. really dont wanna be a vamp, its pretty horrible you feel really crap if you dont feed. the reason that question was i asked i think is because that person was curious about what other vamps experience. tbh i am curious as well. for me after a while the cravings settled and are way less frequent. i rarely get them unless someone mentions blood in great detail which is good cause the cravings are quite annoying. however while that last point might support your theory that its all mental i consistently wake up earlier and feel more energetic after feeding vs when i haven't been fed for a while. and yes... i have tested this by feeding consistently for a few days and then stopping for a while (2 weeks ish). another explanation for that last point is that i am super anemic and having that extra bit of iron helps boost my iron levels therefore increasing energy as oxygen intake into my body increase. however i haven't done the math and each time i feed i only get a few drops which IMO would be less iron than would be in two ferrograd-c iron supplements which i take everyday after dinner. if feeding did have somethign to do with increasing oxygen intake then it wouldn't make such a substantial difference as the ferrograd-c would be doing the bulkwork. i really wish i could disprove it to myself that i was normal and i really dont wanna be a vamp but unfortunately there is too much evidence from a personal experience point of view for me to change that. unless this is like subconcious level mental in which case i should probably go to a psychiatrist as you mentioned. dont really want to tho as being a vamp doesnt bother me to much. also these forums are a good way for the vampire community to connect with each other so i really see no problem in that. and define "vampire" and yeah, i hide i dont tell people who i am, nobody but my girl friend/donor knows, i dont use my real name on forums. you dont know who i am. and btw i haven't read dracula or twilight. i think the fictional idea of a "vampire" is very flexible and vague. plus i think "real-vampires" just adopt the name as it seems to suit whatever it is we are suffering from.
