I like ideas regarding the folklore of mysterious women, and we see the near-deification of 'enigmatic and/or potent' women in both religion and art (e.g., Kali, Ophelia, Madonna, Akasha, etc.). So here's a yarn about the Marvel Comics heroine Squirrel-Girl (a female symbolizing 'natural courage') contending with the Biblical harlot of Babylon (a dangerous woman symbolizing 'foolish courage') and learning about schisms within vampirism.
What is considered 'heresy' and 'apocrypha' in this new age of 'media-gauged etiquette' (i.e., Facebook)?

Squirrel-Girl was camping in the forests of the Pine Barrens in New Jersey (USA) when she encountered a strange camper who was writing in his journal about the lessons of modernism sin gleaned from the references to the prophetic 'harlot of Babylon' mentioned in the Book of Revelation. The camper was a young man of about 30 years-of-age and was quite handsome, so Squirrel-Girl was attracted to him but kept focus on her mission which was to simply camp in the Pine Barrens and feel closer to Mother Nature. Squirrel-Girl noticed that the camper was writing notes about the elusiveness and seductive power of the harlot of Babylon and why she was considered a 'signpost' for terrible omens regarding the claustrophobia of profiteerism and the reality of vice in a world consumed by moral apathy. Squirrel-Girl wondered if the camper was some kind of a priest.
Squirrel-Girl followed the camper around for a few days, hiding from a safe distance, and then one day, she noticed the camper kneel down by a river and start praying and making incantations to the harlot of Babylon! Squirrel-Girl realized this camper was not a Bible-reading Christian but actually a Satanist who intended to use the Pine Barrens as a base of operations to 'invoke' the underworld 'spirit' of the mysterious harlot of Babylon. Squirrel-Girl watched as the camper recited his chants about yearning for the mysterious and the exciting in his otherwise monotonous 'bureaucracy-suffocated' life. The camper seemed to believe that the harlot of Babylon could free him from the chains of boredom that come with modernism labyrinths. Squirrel-Girl wondered if the prophetic harlot of Babylon just might be some kind of 'Satanic cheerleader.'
Squirrel-Girl was astonished to observe that the chants of the camper did indeed raise something out of the river --- a naked woman with glowing green-eyes riding atop what seemed to be an aquatic dragon-like multi-headed octopus! The woman came out of the river on her 'beast' and approached the man who was obviously humbled by her ominous presence. The man cried out to her, declaring his adoration of her and wished to see her in his arms and in the throws of amorous love and was willing to do anything to make this fantasy a reality. The woman consented to engage in intimate relations with the begging camper but only if he agreed to become his slave and do her bidding. The camper agreed (very quickly), and the mysterious woman demanded he murder a young couple camping in the Pine Barrens and sacrifice their bodies to her and drink their blood! The camper scurried off after agreeing to do so, so Squirrel-Girl chased him and killed him before he could complete his evil deed.
Squirrel-Girl knew she did the right thing by disposing the terribly brainwashed camper who was going to become some kind of 'lowly-minion vampire wannabe' in service to this domineering and irresistible (and highly mystical) 'harlot of Babylon.' Squirrel-Girl decided to pick up a copy of the Gideon's Bible and start reciting passages from Revelation so she could better appreciate the metaphysics and everyday spiritualism surrounding the power and potency of virtues, values, laws, norms, and necessities of the human soul. Squirrel-Girl decided that the esoteric and obviously dangerous harlot of Babylon was some kind of 'immortal messenger' of the reality of fear in the deep recesses of the mind --- a fear which could drive any man into becoming...a 'Satanic vampire.' Squirrel-Girl concluded there were two kinds of vampires in the world --- those who served Satan and those who did not!
