In characterizing and evaluating violence and anarchy, we come closer to a general understanding of the 'sanctity' of safe-spaces and the conceptualization of vitality. We know from vampire mythology that the absorption of the blood of others and the immersion into a 'nocturnal lifestyle' that meditations on anarchy may be a transcendental experience. Nevertheless, such experiences can offer insights regarding the contours between order and chaos (or governance and anarchy) under any hypothetical 'belief-system' (e.g., Atheism, Catholicism, Anarchism, Vampirism, Satanism, Hinduism, etc., etc.).
In America, a commerce-centric 'etiquette' and celebrity-gauged 'media-focus' creates all kinds of idol-worship and paparazzi surrounding entertainers and 'social luminaries' (i.e., Tom Cruise, Donald Trump, Steve Jobs, etc.). In this celebrity-culture, we notice that a number of high-profile professional athletes (e.g., Barry Bonds) find themselves embroiled in complicated social scandals regarding allegations of the use of illegal performance-enhancing drugs (steroids). These 'steroids-stars' are affected physically by their body-chemistry transformations and also arguably mentally/intellectually/emotionally, since they are 'cognizant' of their newfound 'mutation-celebrity' consciousness --- e.g., "Not only am I bigger and faster, but now I'm also more popular!" We can therefore argue that these symbolic 'steroids-stars' are like 'superhumans' somehow 'disattached' from the norms of legal/acceptable behaviors.
The characterization of 'monstrosity' is of course related to an understanding of anarchy and/or violence. Leonardo da Vinci's The Vitruvian Man is an iconic drawing representing a human's perspective on the morphological symmetry and 'fitness' of the human body. When we think of modern-day American horror-films such as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Body Parts, we realize that perspectives on the 'coordination' of body and mind have changed as technology has 'advanced.' We think of prosthetic limbs and A.I. brains now, which makes it more 'sane' to conceive of disjointed limbs, asymmetric bodies/creatures, and dismemberment (i.e., raw violence), which explains why horror-cinema is a modern-art trend and why body-mutation films such as The Fly and The Thing are so popular among 'modern audiences.'
In other words, the complete mutation or transformation or even 'hideous alterations' of our genes and physique comprise much of modern-era imagination (in science-fiction, horror, mystery novels, etc.).
In American horror-films, we see the ugly fictional hockey-mask wearing zombie Jason Voorhees use his awful machete to hack off victims' arms or the fictional nightmare-gargoyle Freddy Krueger use his glove-blades to gash away at a victim's stomach. We are literally 'visualizing' a complete 'devastation' of natural life and perhaps even fertility, so it wouldn't be surprising to see neo-Orwellian science-fiction stories explore monstrosities that savagely prey on humanity's sense of 'fertility-protection' or 'physique-sanctity' --- e.g., The Terminator.
Maybe an evaluation of modern-civilization perspective on anarchy/violence can be approached with a better appreciation of naturalism and harvest-themed 'consumerism-toys' and 'avatars' (marketed to kids --- symbols of the future!) such as Cabbage Patch Kids and Tarzan. After all, we have to coordinate 'mob psychology organics' with 'Wal-Mart culture' to study modern macro-trends. The hope would be to blend old world 'primalism' (e.g., Sheena) with new world 'nihilism' (e.g., Aeon Flux).
So imagine the following marketing campaign 'synopsis' in consumerism America about a popular kids' 'demon-doll' named 'Man-Dragon' (a monster signifying a social interest in Occultism eccentricity) being opposed by an anti-consumerism 'vampirism-philosopher' who happens to be a 'consumerism critic' and hence 'etiquette/governance skeptic':
====
"Charles considered himself a vampire and appreciated the elegance and marvel of the concept of 'absorbing' someone else's spirit/intelligence without ever conversing with them. Charles was intrigued by 'links' between concept/modes of telepathy and notions of spiritual 'immersion' and considered vampirism an 'expression' of transcendental intelligence. Charles was therefore aghast when he noticed a new American Toys 'R Us marketing campaign involving the sale of a new iconic demon-doll named 'Man-Dragon' (a vile serpentine dragon humanoid with a malicious taste for flesh but not blood!) who clearly represented all of the 'schizophrenic juvenile delinquency' of new age consumerism, a philosophy completely 'non-conducive' to Charles' own preference for meditation-based Occultism politics. Charles wondered if Man-Dragon was the penultimate totem of new age anarchism liberalness!"
