This is what happens when you don't already know the basics and try to go into things like this. You end up going in circles and ending where you started, or were supposed to start when you just skipped over it.

I wish I understood energy use
about an hour agoMatt
Its pretty easy. Its all about displacing energy or moving it from one place to another, but that's why teleportation is difficult, there's a certain disconnect that means it can't be constant, you have to put alot of energy into two points to transfer them, instead of focusing on one point and more progressively letting the energy build up and move it.

about an hour agoMatt
What?
about an hour agoCaitlyn
still don't understand
about an hour agoMatt
Okay, I'll try to explain in more detail then. What exactly is it that you're trying to do? (you have to start out with a solid objecting, something you want to do enough that you can say you NEED to do this) and be convinced that you are capable of this (and as a vampire, trust me, you are more than capable)
59 minutes agoCaitlyn
I want to be able to move things with my mind
possibly teleport
or slow time around me
55 minutes agoMatt
Okay, first off, find some time you can have to yourself where it will be quiet (unless you know how to stop your mind from distracting itself). Then you find an object, one you know you can do. I suggest start off rolling a pen on a table. So, find a flat table, and a pen that is easily rollable. Place it on one side of the table, parallel to where you want it to move. (time manipulation is natural to most vampires, or at least for me, since you've had my blood you should be able to do it easily enough, it just takes a bit of focus and will power really) And if you can't build the energy to move something, I don't think you should attempt teleportation yet.
54 minutes agoCaitlyn
how do I build energy
54 minutes agoMatt
Anways, once you have it where you want it, and know where you want it to go (you should trace a visual path for it to follow, keep it simple though). Then, you take energy from around you mentally and you build it up around the object and focus it in that one direction, as if that energy has weight built up, which it does).
52 minutes agoMatt
Anyways, your mind is capable of manipulating energy very easily, every thought or emotion you have is in a sense a way of you directing energy. But...using emotions is unpredictable, while using though is more easily directed (though still hard for some if you don't know how to concentrate on a solitary goal and work at it).
51 minutes agoCaitlyn
I can do multipul tasks at once but I can deal with a single task
51 minutes agoMatt
Now, something as simple as moving your finger is energy manipulation in its own right. Its something you learn to do, but struggle with from a very young age (like learning to walk)
51 minutes agoCaitlyn
oh
50 minutes agoMatt
You can or cant? Multitasking won't help you in this, you have more power in your energy work when you can focus on just one thing. Multitasking just spreads that energy all around.
50 minutes agoCaitlyn
I can focus on single things
but where should I start
I know nothing about energy
48 minutes agoMatt
Wondering why david hasn't explained all this to you yet. But anyways., that's good. You need to hone that skill to be able to move something, and it does take patience and practice to do. So don't get discouraged if you don't succeed the first time. Also, the reason you're starting off with a pen is because there is very little resistance, as if you just push it a little it will go a ways.
48 minutes agoMatt
Okay, drawing energy is your first step, after deciding what you want to do.
47 minutes agoCaitlyn
ok
46 minutes agoMatt
Everything is energy, from your body, to individual parts of it, to your blood, to the air around you, to the solid ground, everything is made up of energy. Just some energy is more dense than other. The energy of the air is thin and spread out, while the ground is very condensed in most parts, though it has weak spots spread out. Let me know if this is easy enough for you to follow, if not I can find different ways to explain it, this is just the easiest way to explain.
46 minutes agoCaitlyn
I can easily follow this
45 minutes agoMatt
Good. Carrying on then...now
36 minutes agoMatt
Some people use energy from their bodies and minds, from your mind is fine, and you will experience some weakness when you start out, maybe a headache or two, that's a good sign. However stronger energy users don't even notice it because they can naturally do this, those are the people that see results and movement in their first attempts once they know what they're doing though. So, just a note, taking energy from your body to move something isn't the best idea, yes, its energy you are familiar with because you use it to move your body around, but...it can drain you more than other methods. If you're more in-tune with things around you, meaning you can easily connect to them as if they're a part of you, this is a good thing. Just use your mind to direct the energy, focus it, condense it, and set it in motion (though it may take some time to build it up strong enough, that is alright, it may also be because you're gaining more will power and more sure that what youre doing is going to work with every little success. (if you can at least wobble the pen, even if not in the right direction, that is at least success). There's something else I'll have to do if you can't do the pen though, if you can I'll move you onto moving doors like I do, pretty easy, very little resistance. Carrying on, like I said above, there is energy all around you, all you are doing is directing it with your focus (your focus and your intent is what you need, along with will power, to actually direct these things with purpose). So, what I usually do, is take the surface that the object is on, I take the energy from the object and disconnect it from the surface its on, then I collect energy from the air around it and something my bodies creates subconsciously (my breath) and I focus those two things into something solid around the object and us it to move the object from one point to another by will while maintaining focus on all these things at the same time. Does this make sense?
35 minutes agoMatt
If there's anything in that you don't understand, just point out which part and I will try to clarify more. Btw, you should have asked earlier if you were really interested in this, I've been practicing on and off for a few years, and I know how to explain it pretty well.
35 minutes agoCaitlyn
wait... let me read it
I read it but how does focusing on something condense energy
31 minutes agoMatt
Your thoughts/focus are energy themselves, they mesh with the energy of the objects or the things around you, and in that way you can control it, or bend it to your will. If you will it to condense, it will.
30 minutes agoCaitlyn
so how should I move the pen
and can I use a pencil?
29 minutes agoMatt
Yes, but pencil may be a slight bit (but not much) more difficult. Only because it is not a round surface, it will take a little more focus to get it to roll because it is composed of multiple flat surfaces.
28 minutes agoCaitlyn
true...
how should I move it?
matt?
23 minutes agoMatt
As I explained above, or at least my method, take energy from and around the object. Move the energy of the object to the point you want it to move, which if you want to keep this simple and easiest, would be parallel, right next to the object. Then as you're focusing on that, you pool energy from the air around the object, move more of it from around the room to be around the object, or on one side of it. (this can take time, so dont just try focusing for like 1 minute and then give up, not everyone gets it that fast and the longer you concentrate, the stronger your force is). Yes, I'm lame, I just used a starwars reference to explain energy, deal with it. Moving on...once you've pooled energy around it by your focused thought and will, you have essentially programmed the energy around the object do whatever you will it too (I'll explain more about programming later) But, once you've pooled the energy, you have to keep pooling it around the object you're focusing on until it condense it, and maintain that area of focus.
23 minutes agoMatt
(sorry, was typing)
23 minutes agoCaitlyn
ok
22 minutes agoMatt
Once you've done this, by will, you can move the pooled and condensed energy any direction you want, and if you've built up enough, you will move the object if you're focus is direct enough.
20 minutes agoCaitlyn
this is hard
20 minutes agoMatt
This is the long winded way of breaking down the process and explaining it, but really the keys are just focus and will.
Its hard to take in at first, but once you understand it, maybe reread everything I've said a couple times so you understand everything I've said more in depth, then give it a try. With practice it gets much easier.
19 minutes agoCaitlyn
what is the simplest form of energy manipulation?
18 minutes agoMatt
That I know of? Moving any part of your body. Second easiest, creating an energy ball. But as far as moving an object, the easiest is a psi wheel, but that's for extreme noobs.
17 minutes agoCaitlyn
how about we try creating an energy ball...
17 minutes agoMatt
The easiest, not quite so noobish method is as I've explained, the pen, or a small ball might be slightly easier.
Okay, so to make an energy ball, it is pretty much the same as I have already explained. Mix your energy/thoughts/focus with the air around you, move it in between your hands while focusing on it taking the shape of a ball (imagine you're holding a small ball in between your hands) But this ball can become bigger, smaller, lighter, or more dense by your will, whatever you want it to be. Use your hands as a sort of tool, this is a way of directing your focus/focusing the energy, think of it like a wizard using a wand...but using both hands. Draw energy between your hands, move your hands to whatever size feels appropriate to start out with, and you can move your hands farther apart of closer together. (We'll go into programming them and giving these energy forms different shapes and attributes, ie: making them cold or hot, or making them feel different to your field of perception, as well as changing shape and colour) But moving on, once you've focused the energy between your hands, unless you're focusing on seeing it, you probably won't see anything unless you're flaring it. But we're gonna start out easy for now. Keep focusing what you see mentally, by imaging a ball floating between your hands, as long as you focus on it it will be there, and the more you focus you may even start to see it. Now, move your hands either closer together, or further apart. If you're focusing on making it bigger by moving your hands further apart from eachother, focus on the energy in the ball becoming more spread out, but adding more to it from around you, gradually. Then, make the ball smaller between your hands by moving them closer together and seeing or visualizing the ball get smaller, and the energy condensing between your hands. For some it helps to breath in rhythm with your movements. Okay, then, you will start to feel something, may be weak or strong, but it will get stronger with every bit of focus you put into it. There are a variety of different ways different people can perceive/feel it. From heat, to cold, to wind, to tingling, to a magnetic push or pull between their hands. Anyways, after you've gotten this down, I'll explain how you can send or receive these energy balls.
5 minutes agoMatt
Let me know if this is too much, because if you can't follow everything I've just said, then you don't yet have the focus to pull off telekinesis yet.
