Ok alex, first of all ever heard of a little thing called evolution? Its where the body mutates to survive, or adapt? Yeah that is most likely where this condition came from, and second of all no, you cannot be turned due to the simple fact that real vampirism is not a disease and is in fact a genetic mutation so it cannot be passed on through the blood or any other bodily fluid and can only be passes through hereditary means( aka genes).
